Travel Responsibly, Travel Safely

Lake Taneycomo Scenic Overlook

We want you to have a great time and be safe when you visit Branson and our live entertainment venues. Below are some recommened guidelines:

Be COVID safe

Branson doesn't have any masking or vaccination requirements, however there may be circumstances where it is advisable to practice social distancing or wear a face covering. There are also circumstances where masks may be required, such as when on a plane, bus or trolley.

The CDC has the following recommendations on this topic:

CDC Recommendations for Domestic Travel

CDC Recommendations for Vaccinated People

CDC Recommendations for People Who Are Not Fully Vaccinated

If you don't feel well, please stay home. Most shows and attractions will be happy to reschedule your reservations.

Drive safely

When you drive to Branson, you will be greeted with amazing natural scenery and meandering 2-lane roads. It is, after all, a mountain town. Whether driving the city's streets or exploring the surrounding areas, please stay alert and watch for curves and unexpected stops. The most common type of car accident in the area is a one-car crash where the driver loses control or isn't paying attention for just an instant. Keep the phone stowed and be sure to heed traffic signs, lane lines, roundabouts and other drivers.

Several road in the city have high pedestrian traffic on sidewalks and at crossings. Please watch for and yield to pedestrians.

Also remember that in the event of heavy rains, the mountain creeks and streams can quickly swell out of their banks and cover low roadways. Never drive through a water-covered Branson roadway. It only takes 12 inches of water wash most vehicles off the road. Turn around. Don't drown.

Walk Safely

Whether you're strolling along the Strip or walking from your hotel room to your car, be sure to watch for cars. Never jaywalk across County Boulevard Strip or any major road. Cross the roads at intersections and in approved crosswalks. Several crossings have lighted notifications to alert drivers to watch for pedestrians.

Secure your Belongings

Branson's residents and visitors are, with very few execeptions, honest and respectful of others. But that trusting and trustworthy nature also makes them easy targets for crime.

Theft can turn a vacation into a bummer instantly.

Make sure to lock your car doors with the windows up. Hide your valuables from view, and park in a well-lit spot. If your hotel room or condo has a locking safe, be sure to secure unneeded cash or valuables there so they aren't carried with you where they can be easily stolen or lost.

Take Care of the Ozarks

These beautiful mountains and lakes and trails are for all, but it's also everyone's responsibility to take care of these amazing natural resources. Please make sure garbage is properly disposed of and not discarded along roadways or in our lakes. Watch for and yield to animals crossing the roads (we have many deer, and they don't use crosswalks).
