Long known as the "Live Music Show Capital of the World," Branson is home to more than 100 live shows, ranging from rock to county to magic to Broadway-style and more.

There is music from every era and style, performed by both rising young entertainers and legendary stars. The wide variety of music includes Pop, Country, Rock 'n' Roll, Gospel, Patriotic, Broadway-style, Western, Big Band, Swing, Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical and more. Several internationally famous performers call Branson home or have residencies here, as do scores of ensemble casts of singers, dancers and musicians.

Entire families of entertainers headline shows in Branson and continue a time-honored tradition of more than 60 years. Comedians are a Branson staple, both as headliners and specialty acts in zany variety shows and opening acts.

With so much live entertainment, it's easy to think that Branson is only about the shows. But visitors are excited to learn about Branson's diverse family-friendly attractions, dining, shopping and outdoor activities.

Branson is currently experiencing a boom in new family-friendly attractions, with several hundred million dollars in new attractions in recent years. Those include Wonderworks, the Aquarium at the Boardwalk and many more recent additions to the city's attractions offering. Those new offerings are in addition the the already expansive set of attractions like Silver Dollar City, Whitewater, Bigfoot on the Strip and more.

A Top-Tier Golf Destination

Golf is another major draw to Branson. The area is home to the region's newest and best courses, with four new courses opening in the past five years, including world-class designs from names like Nicklaus, Fazio, Woods and Player.

Big Cedar Lodge and its related course span much of the mountainous areas south of Branson. Those courses include the Bill Coore/Ben Crenshaw-designed Ozarks National Golf Course and Payne's Valley, the first public course designed by 82-time PGA winner Tiger Woods and his company TGR Design.
